I remember the days of being a Christiann. A regular, go to church every Sunday, get perfect marks in sunday school, lead singspiration kind of christian.

It was extremely easy - all I had to do was believe what everyone else believed. At least it was easy for a while. After a while the nagging at the back of my head grew - it was called doubt. The problem is not that there was doubt. Doubt is a good thing, letting me know that I'm a reasoning, breathing, free-thinking human being. The problem with being a doubting Christian is the fact that christianity is based on blind faith and heresay accounts that can be doubted. Sure, that's what faith is for. But faith is simply not logic.

No man is an island.

Why do we call Earth earth when it's obviously mostly ocean? It is a blue planet afterall.

I think it's because we live on the earth, therefore the earth is more important, and therefore of course we call it the Earth. Humans are selfish aren't we.
